Well, I'm writing this on a Tuesday about Saturday, so I may have forgotten some stuff.
Anyway, it was so busy once again. Fucking Canadians! Oh my god, it was too busy. Guest Service was steady, but not as busy as the front lanes.
Here's a run down on stupid guests: (the holidays, and busy weekends really bring out the worst in people)
-One lady had 3 rugs she purchased with cash but didn't have her receipt. So since one was over $10, I told her she had to exchange it for one item in domestics for equal or greater value. She freaked out, grabbed her stuff, and rampaged out the door. ------She comes back several hours later with her receipt. The moment she sees me, she starts apologizing profusely for the way she acted. This is the SECOND time EVER that someone has apologized for their behavior. I was surprised.
-Another woman wanted us to look up her cash payment because she didn't have the receipt. Did you give your name when you paid cash? NO! So what makes you think we would be able to do that? RETARD! it helps to use the brain every once in a while.
-Then there was this woman who wanted to pay on her account. She didn't have her card, statement, or account number. I told her I can't do it then. She gets all bitchy and tells me that she has "done it here before." Excuse me, I fucking work here, and I think I know what I can and can't do on this computer. If I tell you we don't do that, why on earth would you say that we can? I'm not trying to hide that option from you just to be a dick, believe me, you would know when I was being a dick. It's usually after I experience a rude-ass attitude from a so-called 'guest.'
We got out at 11:30 that night, which sucked, but I guess it could be worse. Sara and I were zoning the books in electronics, and we were bored, so we pushed all the buttons on the kids' electronic books. It was so loud, but oh so funny.
They already called me to work 1:45-close today. Yeah, lemme think about that...NO! I'm not even available until 5, but they wanted a closer. Sorry, not me. I haven't taken a shift for a LONG time, so I wonder why they still call me. And plus, I work Wed-Sun. That's 5 days in a row. I don't want to make it 6. Tomorrow is 2-6 cashiering. Pointless shift! The only day I work GS is on Friday, and Krista works up there too. ...Great. At least I don't close any of the next 5 days. Woo Hoo! That's what bitching will get you. Now maybe I can actually watch Saturday Night Live for once this year. No joke.
