I got my raise yesterday. I'm up to $7.95 an hour. Woo Hoo! My review was really positive, but I think that's because Maggie did it. She just said I was coming out of my shell a lot more, and she thinks Guest Service was helping me do that. I agree and I just like the fact that every situation is different. Cashiering just isn't doing it for me. The only semi-negative part was that I need to have a positive and up-beat attitude when I'm cashiering. I guess that's partly true.
When I was in Guest Service yesterday, there was this nasty bitch that came in. I was doing a return and $80+ dollars was going to go back on her card. But no, she wanted half in cash, and the other half on the card. I told her we can't do that, and she said, "Yes, you can." I was about to say 'uh no, you fuckin hag, I think I know what I can and cannot do.' So we argued back and forth, when she finally asked for 'my supervisor.' I said "FINE!" like a smartass, and called Sharon up. The lady was just freaking out saying she put $40 cash on her card and she wanted it back. She did it on the 15th of October. Sharon told her she couldn't do that and looked at her receipt for the payment and it said she paid with a check. But the lady said she paid in cash. Sharon quickly got sick of her, and just put the whole amount back onto the card. Then the bitch said, "I better be getting a check from the company then for the difference." Sharon said, "You'll have to go through them for that." And the demon left. I hate people like that, 'you can do that' when I already told them I couldn't. Or the question you like, 'are you sure about that?' 100% positve asswipe!
Well, starting Tuesday I work 6 days in a row. :( That'll be fun.

Well...
Ok, I'll try to go in a chronological order. First of all, on Thursday I got my schedule for the 3rd week. I have 32 fuckin' hours! Are they trying to kill me!? Maybe that's the reason I'm not doing as good in school, I'm overworked. I work 5 out of 7 days. Ick! Only one is cashiering, and I think I'll be buddy training because of the hours. But, I open on Saturday in Guest Service! I'll have to get up at around 6:30 am! Oh wow! That will be quite the week, even next week will be tough.
So on Thursday I was in Guest Service, and I don't really remember any rude guests, but I know there was some. The only thing I remember that made me laugh is when Sara came up to back-up. Sharon also came up. Anyway, Sara was standing right next to Sharon, and she said, "I'm being forced to ask for Visas, and of course no one wants one. The Target Card police is harassing everyone to get them." And Sara walked behind Sharon and pointed to her. We both started laughing and Sharon probably heard everything. HAHA!
On Friday, I didn't work, but I went in to buy some Halloween shit. Anyways, it was fun up until leaving. We were walking by the head cashier office and I saw Krista and Karen talking. The moment Krista saw us, she stop talking and gave us the dirtiest look ever. I said, "Oh great, my 2 favorite people." They probably heard me, but I really don't care. Then Sara came out of the candy closet, and we said, "Your 2 favorite people are in the head cashier office." She walked over there, popped her head in and said back to us, "Oh yeah." It was funny. I hope Krista heard me, she's a bitch. And that's an understatement!
Today I am in Guest Service again. No cashiering at all this week! WooHoo! It should be fun. I close, but I wanna get outta there early so I can attend a Halloween party. One of my male co-workers is going as Lucy! It's so funny!

I work at 2, so I'm just killing time. It'll be yet another great day at work. I'm really not looking forward to it. I'm in Guest Service again, so at least I'm not cashiering. OH MY FUCKING GOD!
Today HAD to be the worst day I had in a while. I felt so god damn depressed because of the way everyone was treating me. I had SO many rude guests, and Krista and her usual bitchy self didn't make things better. First of all, I'm not a team trainer. I didn't apply to be one, but they constantly RUB IT IN MY FACE. Just today Sharon said oh they are having a pizza party for team trainers today. OK great, but you needed to tell me why? So, there are people that have been hired AFTER me that are going to be team trainers. So basically it'll look like I'm less intelligent than everyone else. Fuck them, and you too Krista! No one likes your bitchy attitude! So anyways, Krista picked Melissa Ro to be the head cashier for her break. Why can't I do it? That REALLY hurts my feelings that Krista said I wasn't 'ready' to do it, and that I have a bad attitude that she doesn't want to 'rub off onto the cashiers.' And she told me to smile more. I'm not the fucking kind of person that smiles for no god damn reason! And especially after you treat me like shit? I really just want to quit. Why can't I give the head cashier a break? That pisses me off the most. I really need to talk with someone about that, but no one will care. Maybe it's just time I leave for somewhere where I'm treated like a fucking human. Why should I have to ask to be treated nicely!? I thought it was common sense. But working for Target, you learn VERY quickly that they lack compassion for anything except money.
I got reamed out over the phone because this dumb bitch forgot her bag there. She wanted ME to have her shit ready when she came in. It was 2 fuckin pieces of meat! We logged it right away and sent it back to that department so it wouldn't spoil. So she freaked out on me because of that, and I told her she could bring in her receipt and we'll just give her the cash back for the items. She just said, "Oh thanks for the special treatment!" and hung up. FUCK HER!
Then there was these 2 canucks that came in. They wanted to return a george foreman grill without a receipt. They didn't have the box or anything. So I told them they would have to go back and see if we still carried THE EXACT SAME THING so I could have some numbers for it. Of course when they get back, they bring up a TOTALLY different one. I tell them that without a receipt and no numbers, I couldn't do anything for them. The old man FREAKED and started yelling that "target should be responsible for the items it sells!" and "you have a poor customer service policy" and other bullshit. I just gave them the manufacturer's number and sent them away.
Great! I get to do this tomorrow too! Please oh please make my life even more of a living hell. All I know is that on the reason for leaving line, I will write "I'm sick of being treated like shit, and also because of Lucy and Krista." Why can't I just quit already!? I swear there is some strange thing that is keeping me form leaving. I have some good friends there, but now most of them have left, and tons of newbies are filling their slots.
I wonder if it's too late to apply for a team trainer. Probably, since they did the training today. Even if I did apply, they probably wouldn't have let me do it anyway just because Lucy doesn't like me. She'd put some bullshit reason. I really want to see my review, if it's really bad, I'm going to quit on the spot. It's just hard to go into work each day when you know you aren't valued as a team member. I've been stabbed SO many times in the back by that place, and all I want is to be respected and to be able to do things my peers are doing. I've been there for 2 years now, and I'm still not allowed to do things that people that are new are doing. I'm talikng about giving head cashiers breaks, learning how to do operator, and training in someone. I've buddy trained a total of 3 people in my whole 2 years there. Most people can't even keep track of how many times they've done it. I don't see what I'm doing wrong here, and no one will tell me what's going on. Maybe they are trying to get rid of me because I stand up for myself. I'm not a personal carpet for those in higher positions. I don't know what to do, I guess I'll wait til my review and go from there.

I Really Don't Care!
I was just thinking about if anyone from my store reading this. Oh well! I guess I don't care! If they wanna fire me for things I say here, they can bring it on. But, then they would know that Karen G. takes other cashiers' credit for getting Target Visas. Yep, she puts in HER number instead of the cashier's and then brags that SHE got those cards. Um yeah, Pam can back me up on that one.
I worked Guest Service today, and oh fuck, it was not fun. And the return policy changed ONCE AGAIN! God fucking damnit, they change it every single day! We have been saying no receipt, no return lately, but now thats not the case. I was told today by Sharon that we are doing the same thing we always have been doing before we got the software update. Every GSTM is pissed because we don't know what the fuck we're doing because each person has their own idea of the return policy. What a fuckin headache!
So, there was this guy who came in with some sort of furniture. He didn't have a receipt, so I tried looking it up on his card. That was a no-go. So I told him he had to exchange it for one item in the same department for equal or greater value. It had to be 34.98 or more. Well he paid 44.98 for it, and I told him that without a receipt it gives you the lowest price in the last 90 days. Well, then he wanted to talk to the manager. So I get one up there, and he argues the fact that it's 34.98. After talking to the manager, he finally decides he will just go with 34.98, BUT he wanted it on a giftcard. I told him we couldn't do that, and RE-informed him that he had to exchange it for one item in the same department for equal or greater value. Then he asked, "Are you 100% sure on that one?" That fuckin PISSED me off! I answered yes rudely, but he still wanted me to ask someone. I was thinking 'Fuck off! I know what I'm doing!' So he came back and asked if I asked someone, I told him no and that I knew what I was doing, but NO he still wanted me to ask. So I asked Sharon and of course her answer matched up perfectly with mine! he ended up just taking the thing and left. But, he just kept saying that another Target store was able to give him a giftcard for an item over $70 without a receipt. BULLSHIT! I'm not falling for it!
AUGH! My store had a MASS hire today! It was awful! They told everyone to go up to Guest Service, but they didn't tell anyone in guest service what to do. I ended up calling the operator 3 times, so that I would know what to say to these people. All the people looked fuckin nasty! Yet another sign to show that the holiday season is approaching.
Well, I gotta go, if I think of anything else, I'll be back.

Leave Me Alone!
God damn! I've been contacted twice now about working today. What don't they understand about NO? If I wanted to work, I would find a way, but I don't so they should just leave me alone!
I had to go get my paycheck today, and Ugh! I just hate being in that store. It's such a shitty day out, and I'm obviously sitting on my ass doing nothing.
Ok, I'm going to start keeping track of what happens at work, so I can remember this stuff when I look back at it. I have 2 funny stories about yesterday:
1) Sharon comes up to GS, and Sara needs a code to get into mainframe. Well, Sharon used Lucy's code and her password had to do with her kid, Corbin. Sara laughed at that name right in front of Sharon, and so did I because Sara was making fun of it. Then Sharon said, "Her other one is named Quinn." Sara burst out laughing, and said, "Someone is trying to be Irish." i just started laughing. So, Sharon gave the bitch look to Sara, and she just said, "Sharon, you know I don't care for her." That made me laugh even more!
2) Oh my, this one is a doosie! Ok, so before I got there, this guy came in with a 12.99 coffee mug, and NO receipt. So Donna decided to be nice and let him exchange it, when we could've just turned him away because he didn't have a receipt. So Donna told him he could exchange it for 1 item in the automotive department for 12.99 or more. Well, now I get there. So, Donna is busy with a guest so I help this guy. He brought up another coffee mug that was 9.99. So I tell him we can't do that, and he says he will just buy something else to make up for it. We can't do that either, so he just stood there. I thought he wasn't going to leave. Donna said that was our policy, and asked if he wanted to go look again. He left to look for something else. A LONG time passed, and he came up with a 12.99 TOOTHBRUSH! Since toothbrushes AREN'T in the automotive department, we couldn't do that. The guy grabs his stuff and yells, "FINE, I'M LEAVING!" Donna said, "Sorry." And then the guy yelled back, "NO YOU'RE NOT!" Maggie was on the phone at GS, and her face was priceless. Then after he left, we shit-talked him. That's what I like about the Service Desk, you can rip on guests after they leave.

Augh!
Christ! Work just sucks! Now I am mostly at the Service Desk, so it's not that bad. But, because of Lucy and her moustache, I wasn't chosen to be a 'team trainer' which pisses me off because there are people that have been there for a shorter amount of time that are team trainers. What a crock of shit! Must go back to my whole 'attitude problem.' What a fucking joke. Yeah, they will see a MAJOR fucking attitude problem when I decide to quit. Getting Krista to cry is my ultimate goal.
Well, here we are heading into the dreaded Christmas season. GRRRREEAT! Lots of fuckin newbies that need training. Yeah, Krista never picks me because she thinks I will shit-talk the company. No need to, they will find out soon enough. The turnover rate is high, but Lucy is staying put. (DAMNIT!)
Working at the Service Desk is the most fun when working with Sara. Damn, she is SO fuckin funny! She doesn't take shit from anyone! We constantly make fun of people, especially Canadians. Don't even get me started on that subject.
My 2 year review is coming up! Woo Hoo! I think it's depressing that I've been there THAT long, but I really want to see how much of a raise I get. I peeked at it when it was in the head cashier's office, but the only thing I saw that it said was "Your quiet personality sets a good example for other team members." Yeah, I don't know how that works out, I guess I'll just have to wait... Shit. I really want to quit, but it'll be hard to leave SO MANY good friends. Most of them have already come and gone, but a few are still stickin in there. I would say that about 20 out of the ~75 cashiers there are people that aren't new. It sucks because most of the newbies don't talk to anyone but themselves.
So, as I foresee for this holiday season, I work the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday), day after Christmas (AUGH! at the service desk!), but I have the New Year holiday off to enjoy getting plastered with my friends in Canada. I'm so excited! It should be a blast!
