Still Here

Wow, it has been a while since I've posted, and I'm really not sure why I haven't. Too much happened since I've last posted so I'll try to go over the highlights.

Ok, so there was this rude couple. Well, they bought a swimsuit (2 pc.) and it rang up for more than it was listed on the tags. I told them I would change it, and as I was the guy went off on me saying that we were doing it intentionally. I told him no, that mistakes do happen, and all you need to do is bring it up to our attention. Well he was so fixed on it, and said he saw something on TV about a year ago that showed retailers intentionally marking up prices. Whatever. So I finish changing the prices, and since they wrote a check the same day, it offered them back a giftcard. The guy again went off on me saying he paid cash, and that's what he wants back. He also said that this was part of our scam. At this point I was very irritated, and ignored him, and called for the GSTL. I went and got his check out of the register, and when I came back the GSTL had fixed it, and gave them cash back. I don't know how, she didn't tell me. Well, I asked her if he was rude to her too, and of course he was. I almost freaked out on that guy, and I'm kinda wishing I did.

I dealt with this older woman the other day, and she wanted to return a fan. Well, right off the bat, she tells me that she bought it last summer. So I check to see if it was in our system, and surprisingly it was, so I tell her she has to exchange it for 1 item in hardware and blah blah blah. The old lady freaks out on me, grabs her fan, and storms out saying this is why she never shops at Target. Umm, you bought it a year ago, and still want us to do something? I could've turned her away at the point where she didn't have a receipt. People just don't realize we're trying to help them out.

Another woman came is with a few items and had a receipt for each, but they were VERY expired. So I tell her this and say I can still return the items, but they have been clearanced, and I could only give her that price. She also freaked out saying that she had her receipts. I told her we have a 90 day return policy and it shows when the receipt expires on the darn receipt. She plays dumb (I'm not sure if it was an act) and says no one told her. OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ!

But what really pissed me off was this incident. Shelley, the stupid domestics TL, came up to GS. It was 9:45 and I was behind the half-wall thing at Guest Service helping a TM get all of their returns into one cart. Well Shelley walks up to the counter, and starts going, "Psst, psst! Psst, psst!" I whip my head around the corner and told her, "I have a name." That is one of my biggest pet peeves. That is a rude way to get anyone's attention. Using my name, saying hello, or excuse me is fine, but making noises like I'm some barn animal is just plain rude. And this was the same TL who I've been calling the whole night to get her overflowing (understatement) cart of returns. And she didn't even take it with her then. And all she wanted was for me to defect something out. Leave it on the counter with a note, or put it in the SDEF bin. And yes, this is the same Team Lead who stood in front of my car one day because I "parked too close."

Well, I took this weekend off because we went to Canada to get trashed. It was really fun, but the US border patrol people are ASSHOLES! Oh well, it's also a "long" weekend in Canada, so of course they come down here. Our town is chock full of them. Ish.

And I don't have a cashier shift at all in the next 2 weeks, it's all GS! Woo hoo! I'm sure to load up on stories, especially because it's going to be back to school madness. Just fucking great!
