Holy fucking shit, it was SO GOD DAMN BUSY yesterday that it wasn't even funny. It was just person after person, and it rarely stopped. From about 12:30-4 we had a line at all times. And there was 2 of us. Ashton called in sick, but she was supposed to work 2:30-9 in GS. So, Amanda didn't have anyone there to help her close. I hope to God Ashton had a good reason or else I will be extremely pissed at her. She also better show up today or else I'm going to talk to the head cashier about not putting her over there. You can't just call in if you are GS unless you have a good reason because chances are they won't have anyone to cover the shift.
Yeah, so I work 12-5 today with hopefully Ashton 12-7, and Amanda 2-10. I have a slight inclination that it will be busy as fuck today too. Especially since Canadians buy, buy, buy one day, and return, return, return the next day. Again, don't buy it if you don't fucking want it. It's just that easy.
Well, yesterday Food Ave was a mess. We got 3 fucking busloads of Canadians in a fucking row! And they all go to Food Ave. Why? I have no fucking idea. There are so many better places to eat within walking distance. But the Canadians are SO FUCKING RUDE in Food Ave! I freaked out on a few. I was helping this older couple, and the computer crashed. Well, Amber was ringing someone up on the other till, so I waited until she was done. The woman said, "Uh, we want our food, we're on a bus." I told her I still had to ring her up. So I rang them up, and they asked, "When is it going to be ready?" I told them it would take a few minutes, and we would call them when it was ready. They say it in the rudest tone ever. Every single fucking Canadian asked, "When is it going to be ready?" I got sick of it quick, so I just started being rude. I had to repeat myself so many times. After the total and I gave them their change and told them we would call them when it was ready. I had one guy ask after I said we would call him up when it was ready, "Is there an order number you need to give me?" No! We will call you up by what you ordered when it is ready. "Do you need my name?" NO, WE WILL CALL YOU UP WHEN ITS READY!!!!!! Then there was this Canadian couple standing by where you pick up the food, after they just ordered thinking it was going to be ready right away, and Chris turned to them and said, "It will be a few minutes, you can go sit down." Haha! We were all being so rude because they were being rude to us. Tara told me the reason why they are so rude is because in Canada most of the fast food jobs are held by the homeless and whatnot. So they think because they are better than them , they can treat them like shit. I seriously want to chew out a few of them today. I want to help back-up in Food Ave so I can be rude to them. They never complain. Haha! I'm so evil.
Friday I worked with Sara in GS, and it was a blast. She told me a story about how she went shopping at Wal-mart at 12:30-1 am, and when she left there was a Canadian car parked next to her. She took the gum out of her mouth, and put it under the door handle. Haha! I seriously laughed for about 10 minutes after she told me this. Damn she is funny!
That night I did my whole spiel where at 9:30 I tell the departments to get their abandoned merchandise up to GS before 10, and not to bring up anything after 10. Well, it was a slow night, so everyone had a chance to bring up their shit. Well, at the end of the night Kyle, a TL in grocery, came up and said, "Why do even say that because no one listens?" I ignored him because I don't dignify slams against me with a response. The thing was that everyone did listen, and everything was up at GS before 10. He was just mad because he had a full cart. If you would've came to pick it up when I called you the first billion times, then you wouldn't have anything to bitch about. Well, Sharon also bitched me out saying I shouldn't tell them to not bring stuff up after 10. I told her I've got many compliments about what I say, but Sharon was just a bitch. Whatever. The only reason I started saying the spiel is because I called up departments and they bitched that I called them up there so often. So, I'm getting mixed messages. On one hand, you want GS to be fucking spotless with no returns in the cart, and on the other, you want me to accept abandoned after 10. You can't have fucking both! So it is officially the end to my 9:30 saying. If I hear one person bitch that they have to keep coming up to GS, I will flip.
Our store at 4:30 had ~$138,000 in sales already and our goal was $208,000. I definitely think we made the other $70,000 by the end of the night, if not way more. I ended up doing $2100 of returns, and it would have been more if I didn't open. My net sales was $-1500. I think that's funny, I'm not making Target money. Haha. Oh well, they have to have someone working returns. Our store made roughly $16,400 an hour, and how much of that was mine that hour...$7.95. If you're wondering where I'm pulling these numbers from, I printed out my report, and the stores before I left. It's always interesting to see. That $2100 worth of returns doesn't seem like much, but a majority of it was all $20-30 items. It was a lot of people. I'll try to print the info out for today too.
Well, I suppose I better get ready. I've been feeling sick the past couple of days, but not sick enough to just sit home and do nothing. And plus, I could get Canadians sick, and why should I miss out on that? Haha! I can't wait until they need a passport to get into our country...January 1, 2008. Far away, but at least it's something to look forward to. LOL
