Sucky Weekend

Well, this past weekend sucked. At least all of the Canadians are back in their country... now all they have to do is stay there FOREVER. I can't explain how rotten some of these people were; it actually boggles my mind how someone could be so rude. Is it OK to treat people that way in Canada? If so, then why? Riddle me that Canada.

Saturday actually worked out in my favor because I got to work. I was bummed because I had a 8.5 hour day of cashiering in front of me. I get on my lane, help literally 2 people, and Sharon calls me from GS. I'm supposed to go up there. I got to tell Canadians that my lane was closed, but sure enough more people walked in right after I told the previous people. They were so pissed when I told them I was closed. Well sorry asslick, my lane light IS off! I thought I was just going to GS for a back-up because it was really busy. Ashton called in sick, and Amanda told me I was up there for my whole shift! I was ecstatic! Well, when it slowed down I went to Food Ave because they were fucking busy as hell. Always are with Canucks. I don't see what is so good about a little eatery in a fucking Target store, but the way the Canucks react it's like it's the best food ever. Which it is...(looks around for Target spy) Yep...good food at Food Ave. Anyways, it slowed down so I went back to GS, and when that got slow, I helped over at the photo lab. So I was everywhere BUT a lane, and I loved it!

So Sunday I worked 12-8 GS, Ashton worked 12-5, and Lona was scheduled 1-6. Lona has never been trained in GS; she didn't know one thing about GS, and yet she was scheduled at GS for training. Ok, I don't know where you live but Sundays are GS's busiest days because of adjustments/payments/returns from weekend. So I was basically bitching left and right because *I* had to train her because only Ashton and Emily were up there, and they are new to GS too. So I basically bitched out Tara and she must have talked to someone because when Maggie got there, she pulled Lona out of GS and put Jackie up there because it was so busy and it isn't fair to guests that I'm training while there is a long line of people to help. Well, later that day it died down, and I didn't want to come in on Tuesday (my day off) to train new people so I offered to do it right then. The head cashiers discussed and told me to grab Patricia too, and give them both a training. Training went well, but I think they still need more time up there.

Other than that, not much happened. There was a few mean people but nothing so over the top.

There was this one woman who was returning a lamp and something else but didn't have a receipt. Well, we told her it had to be one item from housewares for 34.99 equal or greater value. Well, she's gone for quite some time but GS was getting calls from the floor. The salesfloor TM asks over the walkie, "The guest was told to get an item from housewares, can she get one from domestics?" UH NO! Well, she finally found something and left.

There was this Canadian who wanted to exchange a shirt for a bigger size. Well, she had just bought it a few hours ago but left the receipt at the hotel. So I try checking her credit card, but since it was just that day, it didn't show up. So I tried doing a no-receipt return but I need a driver's license. She didn't have hers on her, but threw a fit. She wasn't with anyone else, so she put on a sob story about how she was just exchanging and that she was leaving at 6am the next day. Boo fucking hoo! You shouldn't even be driving without your fucking driver's license!

Next up is 4:30-close on Wednesday!
